Bryan's "Two Soup" Special

Bryan is turning into an awesome cook. Lately he has been getting bored with our regular meals so he's cooked up some delicious concoctions he found online or in our cookbook.
But tonight things went the way of the mad scientist in the kitchen. While I was working in the dining room, Bryan was making a beef, vegetable, and tomato soup. I got up to take a break and saw two large soup pots full to the rim and bubbling on the stove. There were still bunch of ingredients on the counter waiting to be crammed in. Bryan started laughing and said, "These pots just aren't big enough for the soups I want to make." Then he followed that up with, "I tried to make one soup--but I made two soups!" I still can't stop laughing, you probably had to be here. And you know what? You should be here to help us eat all this soup!
Otherwise we had a very lazy weekend. Bryan wasn't feeling well on Saturday (rare for him), but his pace was just right for Jill. Jill already has one of her two year old molars and I think she was cutting the three that remain this weekend. She's been miserable since Friday with a low grade fever (99-101) and no desire to eat. That's not exactly true, she'll say she's hungry, run to her high chair, and then start to whine and cry at the first bite. All she'll eat are Cheerios, Puffins, and yogurt. Thankfully she's drinking a ton of milk.
It's a very sad scene. She's been weepy for a lot of the weekend and we've had to resort to turning on Barney and cuddling her to keep her comfortable. She'll say, "My mouf hurts," "My belly hurts," My toe hurts," so it's hard to really zero in on the problem. You can't help but spoil your kid when they're not feeling well, but we're going to have quite a time getting her off of the diet of Cheerios and Barney this week. Her fever went down tonight, but if she's not better tomorrow we'll bring her to the doctor. Poor kid.

Ian just really got his first set of molars. I am not looking forward to the next round. Hope Jill feels better soon. Ian is a big fan of frozen blueberries, I carefully cut them in half, and then they almost melt in your mouth and are possibly quite soothing.
Awe.. I miss Brian's cooking.. He loved cooking while at OSU.. :-D
