Tonight in a standoff over cleaning his room, I said to Peter who is now 3.5 years old, "If I were you, I'd pick up those cars."  


He looked at me sweetly and said, "If I were you, I'd love you and care for you."  


Sure, he didn't quite get the pronouns right as he turned that around on me, but still, that was well played.  Casanova.
