Valentine's Day Snow Storm
Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a while. Since the meteorologists got us all geeked up about the snow, Bryan decided to work from home. It was FREEZING here in the house. When I put Jill down for her 9:00AM nap I ran upstairs, showered and got in warm socks and a fleece. Then I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat across the dining room table from Bryan who was working. It was bliss.
Jill and I spent most of the day playing in the living room so that Bryan could actually work but Bryan took a break to bring Jill outside for these photos. It was the first decent snow fall for Jill so I put her in her ridiculous snow suit to check it out. The snow suit is just like the one in A Christmas Story, you know how that kid can't put his arm's down? Whenever I put Jill in her suit she is so poofed out that she is totally immobile. She gets ticked until I start to laugh at her and then she smiles at me. Sweet girl, she likes to be funny.
Bryan started shoveling snow at 5:30, predicting it would take him an hour and 15 minutes to finish. At 7:00 he came inside for a breather. The snow was so heavy and wet that he was only halfway done. It took 3 hours to finish. My hero.
You know how Jill had been holding off on her "m" sounds? Well she is sure saying them now! She says "mumm mummm mumma" all day long. I don't think she particularly associates the name with me, but she knows I like it when she says it. :)
