Oh Boy!

Peter's been working very hard at pulling himself to a stand and yesterday he did it! He was kneeling at the bottom of the stairs and he pulled himself onto his feet. It was a huge effort and his legs were spread eagle when he was done. Peter loves to open drawers and kneel at the open dishwasher door. If he sees the dishwasher open he squeals and makes a beeline for it. Now that he can pull himself up, we're in for it.
When I hold Peter he smiles and yells like a warrior, cheerfully pulling my hair, pinching my neck, and the most painful--wrapping his fingers around my collar bone. I lightly brush my hand over his saying, "Gentle! Gentle, Peter." He is so rough!
Jill had her three year old check up this week. She is 38.5" tall (92%) and 30.75 lbs (32%). The doctor said that she looked great but mentioned that her tonsils look a little larger than average. He said it's nothing to worry about but sometimes kids with large tonsils lose their appetites and start dropping weight so we can keep an eye out for any major change in her appetite. Hmmm, that sounds familiar! I think Bryan was in the 8th grade when he dropped to 75 lbs and had his tonsils removed.
Jill has been a hoot lately. Yesterday, Peter was downstairs crying while I was helping Jill on the potty before her nap. She was taking her sweet time until I said, "Jill, we need to hurry so I can go get Peter." She called downstairs, "We're coming, Peter! Mommy just needs to put me down for my nap!" Then so I wouldn't get the wrong idea, she turned to me and hissed, "I don't want to take a nap!"
Then this morning when Jill came downstairs after using the potty she asked me for two animal crackers. Because I will do anything to encourage Jill to go before she leaves for school, I said, "Sure, but can you ask Daddy because I'm feeding Peter?" When Bryan told her she couldn't have the crackers, I explained to him that I had already said yes. Crackers in hand, Jill came to me and said, "Mummy, thank you for talking to Daddy." Her tone was like, "I just can't talk any sense into him."

I'm so glad they are so up on stuff like the enlarged tonsils. The doctors really didn't think there was a problem with Bryan until they operated - I forgot to tell you guys that we love you and miss you. Hope all is going well.
Great posts! The kids are adorable - and I just can't believe how big Peter looks! With all those teeth! What a cutie.
I think Ian and Jill are almost the exact same size (height and weight). We dont get Dr. numbers until July, but we put him on the scale ane measure his height all the time.
