Great Day

Bryan took a couple of hours off today so that he could come to an assembly at Jill's school and take us to lunch. When we got to Jill's classroom, she yelled out, "It's Daddy! And Peter! And Mommy!" She was really excited to have her dad there.

After the assembly we went to lunch. I sat across from Jill and Bryan in the booth and Peter was in the high chair. At one point I looked at Jill with her long dark eyelashes and said, "Jill, I love your brown eyes." The little imp pressed her lips together, tilted her face up slightly, and opened her eyes as wide as possible, darting her gaze between me and Bryan. She looked crazy and she knew it. Bryan and I cracked up and she repeated the joke several times. It was so fun to sit laughing and talking with our little girl. Peter thinks everything Jill does is hilarious, so he had a good time, too!
