Cavener News

Bryan and I previously have documented nothing. From the last nine years we have no photos, no journals, nada. But now we're turning over a new leaf and we're hoping to use this as baby books for Jill and Peter.

Nine Month Well Baby Visit

Peter's nine month well baby visit was today. He did great and measured 30.5" long (96th %) and 21 lbs 5 oz (60th %). He had to get blood drawn before our appointment and that was a little challenging with the two kids. I held Peter in my lap in the lab chair while practicing mind control to try to keep Jill from touching any bio hazards. She did pretty well, but I still needed to sanitize her hands on the way out. She freaked out and I ended up carrying both kids out of the lab. Peter, who had had blood drawn, was fine and Jill, who had been sanitized, was sobbing. Isn't that always the way it goes?

Earlier at home, right before we walked out the door for the appointment, Peter managed to spit up on all three of us. I did a quick clothing change for us all and Jill was very put out that she had to change her jeans. I said, "I want to talk to the doctor about how much Peter spits up. Can you remind me of that, Jill?" So about 45 minutes later when the nurse came to the waiting room and called Peter's name, Jill stood up and said, "Peter spits up. All the time!" She told everyone we saw today.
