Cavener News

Bryan and I previously have documented nothing. From the last nine years we have no photos, no journals, nada. But now we're turning over a new leaf and we're hoping to use this as baby books for Jill and Peter.

The Streak is Over

Jill the super kid is three years old and had never thrown up--until today. The poor kid couldn't quite believe it herself. She enjoyed all of the loving attention I was giving her until I told her that we couldn't go to Callum's house to play because she was sick. In fact, I'm pretty bummed about that, too! It's day four of Bryan's travel, it's been raining almost all week, and now we are in quarantine. Hopefully I will be able to come up with something fun for us to do at home!

And sorry for writing a post about puke. I know that's not really cool.

Why do they always get sick when Dad is gone?! I think Brian missed the first couple vomiting episodes of Payton (she gets it at least 3-4 times a year!) I hope Jill gets better soon, and that you can keep your sanity!

Ian is normally pretty healthy, but we too have been hit twice with vomits. As for good indoor activities, Ian is quite often up for painting, or water play in the sink or Tupperware with some measuring spoons, and cups etc. Just for fun I will also give him some flour so he can really get into the "cooking" Otherwise he enjoys gluing things. I have a few small bottles of white glue (doesnt stain, and washes off easily) and he likes to glue feathers, cotton balls or whatever to paper plates. What can I say he is a boy and he likes the messy things. Or building big tents in the living room with sheets and blankets and flashlights are winners. (I especially like that one when the power goes out) Otherwise good luck, hope you all get better soon.
