Spelling
I owe Peter his first birthday post and it's in the works, but I had to write this story down before I forgot it.
Jill is very interested in letters. She'll say things like, "My name is Jill. That's J-I-L-L. Mommy, what letters make your name?"
Today we were walking to the beach and she looked down at the road and said, "What's that G?" I said, "It says No Parking. That's N-O for no, and P-A-R-K-I-N-G for parking. That means you can't leave your car here." She commented on the letters everytime we passed them, which was four times since she asked to go use the potty about one minute after we got to the beach..
It was a glorious day at the beach! The water was warm and there was a beautiful breeze. We were there with my friend Jenn and I easily could have spent 8 hours there. But the kids are a little vulnerable to the elements so we stayed about two hours.
When it was time to leave, Jill was really angry. She was crying, "I need my Nana. I need to go back to the beach. Stop driving! That sign says, 'No Driving!' J-O-T-D-OT!" She was spelling out lettters on this imaginary sign that was supposed to tell me to stop driving and go back to the beach.
She is awesome. :)

That's smart girl. I'm sorry I haven't you all the cute things the kids said and did when we were watching them. I'll try to shoot you an email this weekend. Love, Patty aka Grammie
Sorry for the typos and left out words. I shouldn't do this when I'm tired. Love, Patty
That's OK, Patty! You can assume that anything you write when you're tired, I'll read when I'm tired, and I'll totally get it.
